The Toyota Prius offers plenty of interior space and fuel economy that can’t be beat.
The Toyota Prius is powered by a four-cylinder engine and two electric motors, which make 134 horsepower combined. That power is routed to the front wheels through an automatic transmission. Most reviewers reported that the Prius doesn’t have outstanding power. However, at an EPA-estimated 51/48 mpg city/highway, the Prius also has fuel economy that other cars in the class can’t touch.
The Prius’ interior is impressive, it has plenty of back-seat space and cargo room. Features like USB and auxiliary inputs, Bluetooth, proximity key and push-button start are standard in the Toyota Prius. Available features include navigation, a rearview camera, a head-up display, a touch-screen infotainment system and solar panels that power the ventilation system. Lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control and a pre-collision alert system are also available.
The Toyota Prius was the U.S. News 2013 Best Hatchback for Families when it was new because it has the best combination of quality, size and family-friendly features in its class.
